Quick marinade base if you're entaining guests and dont have time or energy to start from scratch. Left on chicken during day, added a few of my own extra seasonings and my own sticky bbq glaze. Came out great.
Love this seasoning. Will be buying another shortly. Good on all meats
This 180g sachet of Amandas Bajan (Barbadian) No Pepper Marinade has gone down very well in our house and is a real change from chili or pepper based warmth in a marinade which gets its heat from the paprika I presume. It creates a warmth without too much heat and contains Water, Onions, Chives, Marjoram, Vinegar, Paprika, Salt, Garlic, Clove, Parsley, Sodium Benzoate. These ingredients work together to create an original flavour and it works equally as well on meat and fish. Great on BBQs and the flavours really come through well. I think it is at its best on meat or fish that is pan seared to lock the flavour in. Very flavoursome and a bit of a different taste to try at home, a real taste of the Caribbean.
I found this in Barbados & love the stuff. It makes great curry with coconut milk & some chicken, garlic & onions. I add okra too & you could add chilli if you like it hot.Only downside is this is ever so expensive compared to Barbados but at least I can buy it here now for a special treat.
Best thing I've found.Gives dishes great flavour
